Storage Policy
Simple, flexible storage for short-term living — designed for students and movers.
Effective Date: December 1st, 2025
This policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
This Storage Policy outlines the terms and conditions (“Agreement”) governing the use of MUMU FurnCycle’s storage services. By subscribing to or using our storage service, you agree to the following terms.
1. Subscription & Billing
Storage is billed on a recurring subscription basis, renewing automatically every 15 days (half-month cycle)
The minimum billing unit is 15 days
Payments are automatically charged at the beginning of each billing cycle using your selected payment method
Cancellation:
Subscriptions must be canceled before the next billing cycle to avoid being charged
Once a billing cycle begins and payment is processed, all charges are final and non-refundable
No prorated refunds will be provided for unused time within a billing cycle
2. Storage Duration
Storage continues until the customer cancels the subscription and arranges for pickup or delivery
Extensions are subject to warehouse capacity and availability
MUMU reserves the right to limit or decline extensions during peak periods
3. Access & Retrieval
Our warehouse is not open for public access for safety and operational reasons
All pickups and deliveries must be scheduled in advance
A minimum of 24–48 hours’ notice is typically required
Customers must retrieve items within a reasonable time after cancellation
4. Fees & Additional Services
Storage pricing is shown at checkout or within your subscription plan
Additional services (including delivery, handling, special requests, stairs, COI processing, etc.) are charged separately
Pricing may vary based on location, logistics, or service complexity
5. Condition of Items
All items are stored “as-is”
MUMU does not inspect, verify, repair, or guarantee the condition of items unless explicitly agreed
Customers are responsible for ensuring that items are:
Clean
Safe
Properly packed
Suitable for storage
6. Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly prohibited:
Perishable or food items
Hazardous, flammable, or explosive materials
Illegal items
Items with strong odors or contamination risks
High-value or irreplaceable items (including but not limited to cash, jewelry, collectibles, or important documents)
MUMU reserves the right to refuse, remove, or dispose of prohibited items at its sole discretion.
7. No Bailment Relationship
MUMU FurnCycle provides storage services as a convenience but does not assume the role of a bailee for all legal purposes.
Use of our storage service does not create a bailment relationship under applicable law.
Customers retain full ownership and responsibility for their items at all times.
MUMU is not an insurer of stored property and assumes no obligations beyond those expressly stated in this Agreement.
8. Liability & Damage
We handle items with reasonable care. However:
MUMU is not liable for:
Normal wear and tear
Minor scratches or cosmetic damage
Pre-existing damage
Hidden defects
Improper packing or preparation by the customer
Limited Liability:
In the unlikely event of loss or damage directly caused by MUMU, compensation is limited to the total storage fees paid for the affected billing period.
MUMU shall only be liable in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
9. Insurance
MUMU does not provide insurance coverage for stored items
Customers are responsible for arranging their own insurance if desired
We strongly recommend not storing high-value or irreplaceable items
10. Abandoned Property
Items not retrieved within 7 days after the last paid storage period may be considered abandoned
MUMU reserves the right to:
Dispose of
Donate
Resell
such items without further notice
Additional handling or disposal fees may apply
11. Scheduling & Customer Responsibility
Customers are responsible for ensuring proper conditions for pickup or delivery, including:
Building access
Elevator availability
Accurate scheduling information
MUMU is not responsible for delays caused by:
Building restrictions
Customer unavailability
Incorrect or incomplete information
12. Limitation of Service
MUMU reserves the right to:
Refuse service
Limit storage duration
Remove items that violate this policy
at its sole discretion.
13. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be resolved in the courts located within the State of New York.
14. Agreement
By placing an order, subscribing, or using MUMU’s storage service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Storage Policy.
